Stratford Community House - integral in the community
The Stratford Community House continues to be a central point for many Stratford residents and organisations
The Stratford Community House continues to be a central point for many Stratford residents and organisations and thanks to a grant from the Taranaki Electricity Trust, that seems certain to continue.
House manager, Sally Dodunski, said the need for such a facility in a town like Stratford is just as important today as it has ever been. But a number of community organisations, like some of those based at the House, struggled to meet overheads. "The Stratford Community House is very thankful to TET for their support which has covered the rental costs for our voluntary Tenant organisations, like the Stratford Community Foodbank and the Stratford Branch of Taranaki Central Family & Local History," and also assisted with some of the administrative costs of the Community House," Dodunski said.
"This support is vital for keeping our doors open and continuing with our mission to support the Stratford community."
