Anahera Martin

Anahera Martin, of Inglewood, recently received a grant towards representing Taranaki at the National Age Group Swimming Championship in Wellington. Anahera writes ...

I would like to say a big thank you to the TET for their support when I recently attended the National Age Group Swimming Championship in Wellington.

This was the first national swimming meet I had attended and I was humbled with all of the support I received from the Inglewood community.

I swam in 6 events, making 5 finals, with several personal best times being swum.  I won a Gold medal in the girls 13yrs 50M Freestyle event, with my time breaking the Taranaki record which had stood since 2006.  I also won a silver medal in the girls 13yrs 200M Butterfly.

Thank you to everyone who supported me and to the TET for the $750.00 grant.
