Stratford Parents Centre continues to support community
On-going TET support meets the mark
Some days as parents, just getting out the door feels like a victory, says Kylie Keller of the Stratford Parents Centre. "Having a space like Stratford Parents Centre makes such a difference - it’s where mums, dads, and little ones can come together, share a laugh, get support, and feel a little less alone in the chaos of parenting."
Thanks to a grant from the Taranaki Electricity Trust, the Centre has been able to keep running its playgroups - "lifesavers for parents who just need adult conversation and kids who need a good play," Kylie says - continue hiring its venue for community use, and provide funded prenatal classes that help new parents feel prepared and supported before the baby arrives.
"Without this support, we simply couldn’t keep the doors open. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you, TET — you’ve helped give our families a place to belong, grow, and breathe."
