Elections

An election for the six trustees of the Taranaki Electricity Trust will be held in June 2026. Each election, all current Trustees are required to stand down and an election is held. Details of the Election will be released in late March 2026.

The TET elections are independently carried out by Election Services who manage and run the Taranaki Electricity Trust’s election of trustees. An election was held 16 June 2023. Jono Erwood, Alan Jamieson and Peter McDonald were elected as Ward B Trustees. They join Tony Bedford, Mike Davey and Melissa Stevenson, who were re-elected unopposed from Ward A.

The conduct of the election is regulated by the Taranaki Electricity Trust Deed of Trust (refer to document below).
