St Patrick's School basketballing along

There is a new addition at St Patrick's School, Inglewood, and its proving very popular with students.

Principal Rachael Gibbons knows when she is on to a good thing.

Gibbons is head of Inglewood's St Patrick's School and has noticed a distinct lift in energy from children since the installation new air basketball hoops. "We are already noticing a huge improvement in our students and the participation in basketball at break times," Gibbons said.

"The airtime hoop is fantastic as we are able to lower these for junior students." The hoops are fully adjustable, meaning the height can be adjusted to suit the age of the users.

"These hoops will offer our students advantages for physical education." Lessons from Taranaki Basketball are also in the pipeline, which will further aid the students development - all made possible through a Taranaki Electricity Trust grant for the new hoops.
