Inglewood Croquet Club greens upgrade

A Taranaki Electricity Trust grant of $12,739 has the Inglewood Croquet Club in top condition for the season.

The Inglewood Croquet Club is enjoying a great season, despite the wet nature of it to date. The Club benefited with a grant of $12,739 from the Taranaki Electricity Trust, which has allowed it to upgrade its greens.

"This has been invaluable to our Club. It has put us in the same league as other clubs in Taranaki and NZ," President Heather Grant said. "We have held several tournaments with outstanding comments on the new condition of our lawns."

The upkeep of lawns is vital, Grant said, and the assistance provided by TET has made this task much simpler. "We can now compete with Golf Croquet and Association Croquet tournaments which we have with great success."

Grant also noted that the club had increased its membership in recent months - "which is testament to our lawns".
